Thoughts to ponder on Independence day !

Kind Remembrances and Best Wishes for the Independence Day ! India Today ! Today India has completed 61 years of Independence successfully. It has survived its democracy for so many years, inspite of many communal tensions, political coups, terror strikes and two major wars. It is a matter of pride and honour for all of us. We are still able to live together with the same "Unity in Diversity". We are proud of India and feel fortunate to be born as Indians ... PROBLEMS : ... that is the positive side, but on negative note India is still facing problems like Poverty, illiteracy, unemployment, corruption, social inequalities, communal tensions, terrorism and many more. All the people are fed up with the corrupt officials and immoral politicians. Everyone feels that the system should change. Some believe that india needs revolution. Some are planning to change this situation by forming new political parties and so on . . . METHODS : Politics is a powerful tool, but gaining power in elections and able to implement reforms practically are very complicated things. It looks easy to wipe the problems from the top level, but the fact is that they keep re-appearing as long as the roots are intact. We need to pull out the roots of these inconsistencies. We have to work from the ground level. What can we do ? We can take some time for the society and participate in some welfare activities. let us try to provide basic facilities like food, clothing, shelter, education, health, security etc to all the people. Let us bring awareness among the children and youth about the present problems and the way in which they can be solved. Once we bring in the realisation of all these issues among public, the thinking or perspective of people will change. They will vote only for genuine candidates. They will oppose any kind of injustice. They will press the government to take up public welfare measures. That will be the re-birth of our Indian democracy . . . It takes a lot of time and efforts, but we will reach the destination for sure ! So, all the concerned citizens and responsible Indians, plz try to spare some of your free time. Discuss on what to do rather than simply highlighting or criticizing the problems. Unite for a cause and work for the upliftment of poor & needy people. TIME TO ACT : You may collect small contributions from friends, family, relatives, colleagues, neighbours and use it for educating poor or orphans, for providing health facilities to poor people or old sick people. You may atleast donate your old unused clothes, bed sheets, blankets. You can donate a small amount of pocket money. Even Rs.10 from 100 people will become a considerable amount. Never underestimate your position and never think that what can I do ? There are many ways in which you can help the people and uplift the society, if you really have the concern & care. On this independence day, let us awake the TRUE INDIAN in ourselves and let us begin ....
